Military Exercises

The 22nd edition of the annual India-U.S. army exercise runs from 9 to 28 September, with a focus on high-altitude warfare, long-range precision fires and counter-drone capabilities. Arctic-trained soldiers of the U.S. Army based in Alaska and its 3rd Multi-Domain Task Force are taking part.

The Indian Air Force and the Royal Malaysian Air Force held Exercise Udara Shakti 2026, a biennial bilateral tactical air combat exercise, in Malaysia. The IAF flew Rafale fighters supported by a C-17 Globemaster III, while the RMAF fielded Su-30MKM, F/A-18D Hornet and A400M Atlas aircraft. The exercise focused on dissimilar air combat training and joint mission planning.
