  1. UNCCD COP17 meets in Ulaanbaatar with a focus on drought

    The 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification met in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, under the theme “Restoring Land. Restoring Hope.” It introduced the Drought Resilience Index as an AI-powered assessment tool and launched the Drought Resilience Investment Facility, with $1.3 billion in new and pipeline financing announced. India released a Guide to Grasslands and Other Open Natural Ecosystems at the conference.
