BSSC CGL Syllabus

BSSC CGL Preliminary परीक्षा एक single objective paper है जिसमें तीन बड़े sections होते हैं: General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, और Reasoning। इसमें 150 प्रश्न होते हैं, समय 2 घंटे 15 मिनट, और marking सही उत्तर पर +4, ग़लत पर −1 — यानी कुल 600 अंक दांव पर हैं, और बिना सोचे तुक्का लगाना महंगा पड़ता है।
यह open-book paper भी है: हर section के लिए एक NCERT या BSEB textbook ले जाने की अनुमति है। Guides, photocopy, हाथ से लिखे notes और electronic devices मना हैं।

Paper structure: Preliminary — single objective paper, 150 questions, 600 marks, 2 hours 15 minutes. +4 marks per correct answer, −1 per wrong answer. Open book: one NCERT/BSEB textbook per section is permitted.

General Science & Mathematics — 30% weightage
- Physics — basic concepts, everyday applications
- Chemistry — basic concepts, everyday applications
- Biology — basic concepts, human body, health
- Arithmetic — number system, percentage, ratio, profit & loss, simple/compound interest
- Simplification & approximation
- Average, mixture & alligation
- Time, speed, distance; time & work
- Data interpretation (basic)
Reasoning — 30% weightage
- Verbal reasoning — analogy, classification, series
- Coding-decoding
- Blood relations & direction sense
- Non-verbal reasoning — figure series, mirror/water images
- Syllogism
- Statement & conclusion
- Puzzle & seating arrangement (basic)
- Clock, calendar & age problems
